Description
Piercey’s is an elegant detached family home, set within delightful mature gardens in an enviable rural position. The property has been thoughtfully improved in recent years, successfully combining period features with practical modern living, and further benefits from excellent ancillary accommodation.
The kitchen/breakfast room forms the heart of the home and is a particularly light triple-aspect space, fitted with an attractive range of cabinetry and incorporating a larder, Aga, butler’s sink and window seat. French doors open directly onto the terrace and gardens beyond, creating an ideal setting for both family life and entertaining.
The drawing room is a double-aspect reception room featuring an impressive inglenook fireplace, exposed beams, a window seat and woodblock flooring. Double doors provide direct access to the garden. The snug offers a more intimate retreat, with wall panelling and bespoke fitted shelving and cupboards. A utility room and cloakroom complete the ground floor accommodation.
On the first floor, the principal bedroom enjoys a double aspect and benefits from built-in wardrobes and a well-appointed en suite bathroom. There are three further bedrooms, all with built-in storage, served by a family bathroom.
Outside;
Piercey’s is approached via a five-bar gate leading to a sweeping gravel driveway, providing ample parking and access to the garage. The gardens are a particular feature of the property, extending to approximately 0.41 of an acre and affording a high degree of privacy, enclosed by mature hedging and fencing.
The grounds are predominantly laid to lawn and interspersed with a wide variety of established shrubs, specimen trees and evergreen planting. A brick pathway leads to the front door, flanked by well-stocked borders planted with lavender, while outside lighting enhances the setting.
Within the grounds stands an impressive oak-framed barn incorporating a kitchen and cloakroom, together with an adjoining single garage. A separate homestead outbuilding provides an excellent summerhouse with a kitchen and a bathroom. The barn and outbuildings are ideally suited for those seeking to work from home, offering independent access, driveway and parking, or alternatively provide additional space for sleeping and entertaining. It currently is used for fun activities such as table tennis with the table included in the sale.
