Owners’ Comments
We moved to our home four years ago, purchasing it when the development was brand new. At the time we had just relocated from Malaysia and were renting locally while searching for somewhere to settle. We immediately loved the well-designed community and its fantastic location.
The area has been perfect for us. It’s close enough to Plymouth for my husband’s commute, and I travel to London a couple of days a month, so being able to easily hop on the train makes it very convenient. We also have teenagers, and it’s great that they can take the train into Plymouth or up to Exeter for shopping and days out.
The house itself really surprised us. It’s a beautiful property with a lovely stone exterior, which was a real bonus and gives it great character. After moving in, we added a small garden office, which has been incredibly useful as a flexible space for working from home, studying, or simply having a bit of extra room when everyone needs their own space. We also added plenty of storage there, which has been very practical.
The location has been fantastic for family life too. The children have been able to walk to school, and the quiet cul-de-sac setting makes it feel very safe and peaceful. There’s also a great play area nearby, which has been wonderful for the neighbourhood.
Being a newer build, the house has been very easy to maintain and efficient to heat. The solar panels have also been a real benefit, helping to keep running costs low.
We are moving away from the area due to work, and we will really miss the convenience and sense of community here. It’s a place we’ve loved living in, so while we’re excited for our next adventure, it’s also very sad to be leaving.
