What the owner says....

We’ve spent 14 wonderful years here, and it’s been the perfect backdrop for watching our family grow. There’s a magic to the house that we’ll really miss-from the original plasterwork and period mouldings that give the rooms so much character, to cosy winter evenings spent snuggled up in front of the fire.

Out in front we have a beautiful, rare old elm tree that showers the street with fluttering seeds every spring. At the back, the garden faces West and we’ve been treated to countless sunsets and evening drinks in a space that feels private but bright.

We’re right in the heart of the catchment for some of Hove’s best schools, which has really made us part of the local community which has been very important to us. It is has also been a great place to develop independence for the children - one of our favourite things was letting the kids walk to the Richardson Road independent shops; so close they could visit without even crossing a road.

We’re just a one block stroll from the beach. Whether it’s a morning run along the prom, a weekend paddleboard, or a barbecue with family and friends by the water, the sea has been our second living room. We’ve also added some modern practicalities, like off-street parking for two cars and a high-spec EV charger, which has been a move towards sustainable living. We hope the next family is as happy here as we have been
