Charming One Bedroom Mid Terrace In Thatcham, Presented In A Superb Condition Throughout!

The Sellers View
This home has been a fantastic first step for me as a first time buyer. Nideggen Close has a lovely sense of community and I have been lucky to have such great neighbours. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, while the road itself is quiet and respectful.

The location has been incredibly convenient. Thatcham town centre is only about a thirty second walk away, the train station is within easy walking distance, and the A4 is just around the corner for anyone commuting by car. Thatcham has been a great base, offering a slightly calmer feel than nearby Newbury while still making it easy to get wherever I need to go.

During my time here I have invested in updating and refreshing the house so it is ready for the next owner to move straight in. The boiler and radiators have been upgraded, the garden has been returfed, new carpets have been fitted and the house has been redecorated throughout. I have also refreshed the kitchen with new worktops, which has given it a lovely lift.

I have genuinely loved living here and I hope whoever calls it home next enjoys it just as much as I have.

The Agents View
This is a brilliant one bedroom mid terrace home that is presented in fantastic condition throughout. It is the sort of property that would be perfect for a first time buyer or someone looking to downsize without compromising on quality.

On the ground floor you have a reception room which flows nicely into the good size kitchen, creating an open and sociable feel. The current owner has also incorporated a clever fold away desk in the living space, which is a great idea for anyone who works from home. The new owner could potentially purchase this from the seller or take inspiration from the idea and create something similar.

The kitchen itself offers space for a washing machine and fridge freezer, along with access to a generous under stair storage cupboard. There is also a door leading straight out to the rear garden.

The garden is a really good size for a home of this style and enjoys a west facing aspect, meaning it gets some lovely sunshine from late morning onwards. There is a patio area for seating, a shed for storage and a rear access gate which is always handy.

Upstairs you will find a comfortable double bedroom with a large built in cupboard, a three piece bathroom and another useful storage cupboard on the landing.

This property is freehold, with a management charge of £250 per year. This covers the upkeep of the communal spaces within Nideggen Close, ensuring the area remains well maintained.

All in all, this is a great home in great condition that is ready for someone to move straight into.

The Area View
Nideggen Close enjoys a fantastic position right in the heart of Thatcham, with the town centre only a very short walk away. At the centre of local life is The Broadway, which offers a wide range of everyday amenities, places to eat and independent businesses. Here you will find shops such as Waitrose along with cafés, takeaways and restaurants including Bella Luna, Alexander Restaurant and Baguette De France. There are also convenient coffee stops such as Costa Coffee and independent favourites like Daisy's coffee, making it easy to grab breakfast, meet friends or pick up groceries without needing the car. Thatcham Pizza House is also nearby for a quick takeaway, while the surrounding High Street offers a mix of restaurants and pubs that help keep the town centre lively.

For commuters, this location works extremely well. Thatcham railway station is around a mile away and sits on the Great Western Railway line, offering regular services to Reading, Newbury and beyond, with direct trains reaching London Paddington railway station in as little as around 42 minutes. This makes it a practical base for those travelling into London or other major employment centres across Berkshire and the Thames Valley. By road, the nearby A4 provides quick connections between Reading and Newbury, while the A34 and M4 are both easily accessible for longer journeys across the region.

Another big advantage of living in this part of Thatcham is the access to green space. The town sits in the beautiful River Kennet valley, where the generally flat landscape makes it ideal for walking and cycling. Nearby open spaces include Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre, which sits beside the Thatcham Reedbeds Nature Reserve and offers peaceful lakeside walks, wildlife spotting and a café overlooking the water. There are also excellent countryside areas close by such as Bucklebury Common and Crookham Common, both popular for walking, cycling and enjoying the surrounding Berkshire countryside.

Overall, Nideggen Close is ideally positioned to enjoy the best of Thatcham. Day to day amenities are within easy walking distance, there are strong commuter links for those travelling further afield, and plenty of open countryside nearby to enjoy at weekends. It is a location that balances convenience with access to green space, which is a big reason why so many people enjoy calling this part of Thatcham home.
