An Extended Family Home In Priestwood, With Great Living Space And A Smart, Well Thought Out Layout

Owners Comments...
We bought this home in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic, and it was exactly what we needed in terms space, calm, and a project. The house hadn’t been updated since the 90s, so it really was a blank canvas. We’ve renovated it to make it modern, efficient, and comfortable. We genuinely thought this would be our forever home, but life has a funny way of changing plans, and we’re now relocating to a completely different area in the South.

The big upgrades include underfloor heating, solar panels with a battery (no leasing - everything is owned outright), and an EV charging point outside. We also replaced the electrics and plumbing, and installed a new kitchen and bathroom.

What we love most is that it has real character. The centrepiece is a tough choice - either the fully functioning brick fireplace, or the feature brick wall in the kitchen, created using the original bricks from the house. It adds warmth and personality.

The location has been brilliant too - our daughter can walk to King’s, and The Lexicon and the train station are only about a 20-minute walk away. And the garden has been a joy: We grow tomatoes and cucumbers, and we have established apple, pear and plum trees that make the space feel really lived-in and loved.

Area Comments...
Priestwood Avenue is a popular spot for families, mainly due to its proximity to well-regarded local schools and easy access into Bracknell town centre. Everything you need is close by, from shops and amenities to green spaces and parks. It’s a location that makes day-to-day life simple, whether that’s school runs, commuting or weekend plans.

Ryan & Sanjay Comments...
The living space here is a real highlight - having that front to back room with the added extension at the rear makes a big difference and gives you plenty of flexibility. We also like how the owners have made the most of the space upstairs, especially with the addition of the utility cupboard, which is a really practical touch. It’s a home that’s been well thought through and works nicely for modern family living.
