Seller’s view
i’ve loved living here with my two kids. The rooms are spacious and light, and the house just works. The neighbours are great and very friendly. It’s an easy walk to the station for trains to London, and a lovely walk across bishop’s meadow to the town centre shops, and the many pubs and restaurants Farnham has to offer! The rec behind the garden is perfect for dog walks or for kids to kick a ball about, and there’s a playground and a parade of shops at the top of the hill for when you run out of milk.
Jack’s Comments
What stands out straight away with this one is the amount of space on offer for a maisonette. At around 750 sq ft, it feels much more like a small house than a typical flat, especially with two genuinely good sized double bedrooms.
The layout works really well. You’ve got a separate living room and dining area, which gives you a bit more flexibility than the usual open plan setup, and the kitchen sits nicely to the side overlooking the fields, which is a great little bonus and adds to the overall feel of the place.
Light is another big plus here. With windows on multiple sides, the whole property feels bright and airy throughout, which makes a real difference day to day.
One of the key reasons buyers will be drawn to this is the balance it offers. You’ve got your own private garden space, plenty of internal and external storage, and a layout that’s practical whether you’re living on your own, as a couple or even sharing.
Location wise, it’s also very convenient. You can walk into Farnham town and the station in around 20 minutes, you’ve got local shops like Tesco Express close by, and there are loads of good walking routes nearby, which is ideal if you want that bit of outdoor space on your doorstep.
Overall, it’s a really solid option for a first time buyer or investor, good space, a practical layout and a location that works well day to day.
Area View – Farnham & Talbot Road
Farnham is one of those towns that consistently appeals to buyers because it offers a really good mix of character, convenience and lifestyle. The town centre is full of independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, along with well known brands, so it’s somewhere you can use every day rather than just occasionally.
For commuters, Farnham station provides direct links into London Waterloo, and there’s easy access to the A31, A3 and M3, making it well connected for travel across Surrey and into London.
One of Farnham’s biggest draws is the amount of green space on offer. You’ve got Farnham Park, the Bourne Woods and plenty of surrounding countryside, which makes it ideal for walking, running or just getting outdoors.
Focusing more specifically on Talbot Road, it’s a location that works really well day to day. You’re within around a 20 minute walk of the town centre and station, while still being in a more residential setting.
There’s a Tesco Express within walking distance for everyday essentials, along with good local schools nearby, which adds to the practicality of the area. You’ve also got open fields and walking routes close by, which gives the location a slightly more open feel than more central streets.
Overall, it’s a really well balanced spot, close enough to the town for convenience, but with easy access to green space and a quieter residential feel.
