Situation
Little London is a small but very popular village located some 6 miles to the north of Basingstoke, within catchment for the highly regarded Priory Primary School. There is a camra pub within the village, whilst the neighbouring village of Bramley has some shops and a train station to Reading and Basingstoke, and the small nearby town of Tadley has a range of facilities catering for most day-to-day requirements, including a supermarket. Just to the north of the village there is access to some excellent walks through Pamber Forest and across Silchester Common.
Basingstoke itself offers a comprehensive range of leisure, recreational and educational facilities. There is good access for commuting via both the M3 and M4 motorways and via Basingstoke and Bramley for Waterloo station and Reading and Bramley for Paddington station.
The property
Dating from the 1950s, Bangla is a detached chalet style property offering flexible accommodation extending to about 1,675 sq.ft. With the majority of the accommodation on the ground floor. It is located on the edge of the village overlooking farmland to the rear and offers scope to remodel and/or extend.
On the ground floor, the front door opens to an entrance porch with door leading to the reception hall. The spacious triple aspect sitting room/dining room has a fireplace and french doors opening to the rear terrace and enjoys open views over farmland to the rear. The kitchen/breakfast room is to the rear and also has a door to the garden and views over the field, and the staircase leads to the first-floor landing from here. There are two double bedrooms (one off the sitting room to offer use as an excellent second reception room) and a shower room on the ground floor as well as a study and utility room.
On the first floor, there are two further double bedrooms and a further shower room.
For further information please refer to the floorplan.
Outside
To the front, the property is set back from the road screened by hedging and the gravel driveway provides parking for a number of vehicles and leads to the detached garage located on one side of the property.
The garden extends to about 0.25 acre. It is level and extends right around the property, primarily laid to lawn and with a private paved terrace to the rear.
