Sellers view-
For me this house was about having accessibility to everything, walking distance to Reading town, London is easy to get too, and if you have your own car you have an accessible parking space out the back.
The neighbours are very pleasant and welcoming and there is a sense of community on that little street. As an example when I lived there all of the neighbours would regularly feed and look after each others cats or happily accept parcels for one another.
Kiel's view-
i’m Kiel Holder, and i’m pleased to present this refurbished two-bedroom mid-terraced home on Fatherson Road, offered to the market with no onward chain and close to the centre of Reading town.
Whether you're a first-time buyer looking for a straightforward move or an investor seeking a strong-performing freehold asset, this home ticks the right boxes.
Internally, the property has been thoughtfully updated by the current owner, creating a clean, modern feel throughout. The ground floor offers a comfortable living space leading through to the garden with a well-appointed kitchen to the front, ideal for both day-to-day living and hosting. Upstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms alongside a family bathroom.
Externally, the home benefits from driveway parking to the rear - a valuable feature this close to Reading.
From an investment perspective, the numbers stack up well. With a net yield of approximately 5.91%, this is a compelling option for landlords seeking a low-maintenance, income-generating freehold property in a consistently popular rental area.
Offered with no onward chain, this is a smooth and efficient purchase opportunity not to be missed.
Area view-
Fatherson Road places you in a highly convenient and well connected part of Reading, ideal for both homeowners and tenants alike.
Reading town centre is easily accessible, whether on foot, by bike or via regular public transport routes. From there, Reading train station provides fast and direct links into London via the Elizabeth Line, making it a strong choice for commuters.
Locally, you’ll find a wide range of amenities close by, from supermarkets and convenience stores to cafes, gyms and everyday essentials. The area continues to grow in popularity due to its balance of accessibility and affordability. You'll also want to be sure to check out Café Yolk's, 'Baby Yolk' just down the road.
For lifestyle, residents can enjoy nearby green spaces for walks and downtime with Palmer Park close by which also benefits from a refurbished leisure centre, while the town centre offers a vibrant mix of restaurants, bars and retail.
For investors, this location consistently attracts tenant demand due to its connectivity, making it a reliable choice for long-term rental performance.
