Cumberland Lodge is a wonderful community of homeowners who share a freehold of this unique low-rise development. A mixture of townhouses and flats with private car park a stones throw from Preston Park Station! The apartment has had considerable investment over the last few years culminating in a lovely new kitchen last year. Bright sunshine iluminates the entire apartment thanks to both the oversized windows and southerly orientation. The engineered oak wooden floors flow throughout and provides a real sense of quality. The underfloor heating keeps everything toasty in colder times. Through the hallway and into the generously proportioned lounge diner. Lots of space for both a dining area and soft seating. The expansive south facing bi fold doors lead to the private sun trap patio and the huge wrap around garden. Both bedrooms comfortably handle king size beds and still have lots of room for storage. The new separate kitchen is gorgeous. Lots of wooden worktop space, great low and eye level cupboards and quality integrated appliances. There are two big cupboards which add to the expansive storage options! The owners also upgraded the bathroom. It's crsip and contemporary with a rainfall shower over a full length bath. The walls have oversized white tiles and geometric patterned flooring which looks a treat.
We love Preston Park for its mix of great green spaces, easy access in and out of town and sheer convenience. Great rail and road connections and easy walking into town through Preston Park. The Park itself is a mecca for fitness and fun. Loads of sports and recreational activities as well concerts, festivals and the like. Park run on a Saturday morning followed by a coffee and cake treat is a great way to kick the weekend off. Lovers of a fine drinking establishment are sorted with the C plusA near enough to tempt. Failing that if you venture to cross the tracks - the station hotel is a 4 minute walk and is winning high praise for excellent food and fine ale (try the roast dinners - yum!)
All in all it's stylish, well-placed, and perfectly connected. This apartment puts you right where you want to be-steps from shops and green spaces, and a short stroll from the heart of the city and the coast. Commuting is a breeze, too, with Preston Park Station and the A23/A27 just minutes away for quick hops to Gatwick or London.
