A beautifully refurbished two-bedroom end-of-terrace house, finished to a high standard throughout and offering a bright, well-balanced home with excellent flow.
Arranged over three levels, the entrance floor opens into a stylish open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, creating a wonderfully sociable space for entertaining as well as everyday living.
The lower ground floor has been thoughtfully designed to maximise both light and space. A newly installed staircase and structural glass flooring from the ground level allow natural light to filter through, giving the space a bright and considered feel. This level also includes a contemporary bathroom suite and a utility area. In addition, there is access to a unmodernised ancillary space, which could work well as further storage or be adapted into a larger utility room.
The upper floor comprises two double bedrooms and a family bathroom. The property also benefits from underfloor heating throughout and high-specification finishes, creating a comfortable, modern home with a strong sense of quality and attention to detail.
What do you love about your home?
We fell in love with this house because it gave us the chance to create something truly considered and personal. Every finish was chosen with intention. Nothing felt off the shelf or rushed. We wanted the house to feel calm, warm and complete, with clean lines, natural textures and a Nordic simplicity that makes everyday life feel effortless.
The light is one of the things we love most. It falls beautifully through the house and gives each room a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The materials were chosen not just to look good now, but to age well over time, so the home feels settled rather than simply “done”.
It has been a house we could imagine living in for many years. It feels refined but comfortable, thoughtfully finished but never showy. We hope the next owners feel the same sense of calm and care that we did the first time we walked through the door.
Why are you selling?
We have decided to take a break from our careers and travel the world. It is a big life change, and not an easy home to leave behind, but it feels like the right moment for us to begin a new chapter.
We are selling because our plans are taking us away from London for a while, not because we have fallen out of love with the house or the area. Quite the opposite, this has been a very special home for us, and we hope it becomes just as special for its next owners.
What do you love about the area?
What we will miss most is the neighbourhood. It has that rare balance of feeling calm, green and residential, while still being brilliantly connected and full of life. It never felt like we needed to escape London here. It felt like we had found one of the best versions of it.
Highbury Fields being so close has been a huge part of daily life, whether for a morning walk, a run, tennis, or a slow weekend outside. The green space makes the area feel open and relaxed in a way that is rare for London.
The local cafés, restaurants and independent shops give the neighbourhood real character. Within minutes, you can walk to places for coffee, brunch, dinner, groceries or a drink, and they all feel part of the community rather than anonymous chains.
The neighbours have also made the street feel genuinely welcoming. People are friendly without being intrusive. They say hello, take in parcels and look out for the street. There is a real sense of pride in the area, and that has made it feel safe, settled and easy to call home.
And when you do need to get elsewhere, the transport links are excellent. With Highbury & Islington, Arsenal, Caledonian Road and King’s Cross all within easy reach, getting across London is incredibly straightforward. We stopped thinking about the commute almost as soon as we moved in.
