Description
The oldest part of The Old Manse of Monzie dates from 1716, however it has been extended, re-arranged and modernised over the years. The house is characterised by its attractive façade, pretty front porch and the many original Georgian features that have been preserved internally.
An old bell hangs outside the front porch which opens into a large and welcoming reception hall with classical columns, a carved stone fireplace and the original staircase. This room is ideal for entertaining with lots of space for a dining table beside its open fire. The adjacent drawing room also has an open fireplace and with two large windows; it is a light, spacious and comfortable formal room. Behind the main reception rooms there is an impressive open plan kitchen / dining room with high ceilings and west facing windows as well as access to a conservatory. The kitchen has a four door aga, a central island and space for a large dining table. Also on the ground floor there is a double bedroom with en suite shower, a utility room, WC, games room and study area.
On the first floor the main bedroom has an en suite shower room and two beautiful windows overlooking the garden. There are three further double bedrooms: One of them has an en suite shower room and the other two share a bathroom. In the basement of the Old Manse there is a cellar divided into two rooms.

The garden at the The Old Manse is mainly laid out on the south of the house. A paved terrace is ideal for sitting out in the summer, and the lawn is interspersed with shrubs and herbaceous borders. Mature hedges surround the garden giving it complete privacy. The garden has a hot tub which will be included in the sale.
