The property:
A confident expression of mid-century design, this house has been brought carefully up to date whilst preserving the generous proportions and solid construction that define the best of its era.
From the elegant entrance hall there is a downstairs cloakroom -a feature rarely found in properties of this type and period. The double aspect living room is well-proportioned and filled with natural light with a conservatory providing additional entertaining space and linking the house to the rear garden. To the front of the house, overlooking a large front garden the dining kitchen has been refitted to a notably high standard and finish, with quality worksurfaces, integrated appliances.
Upstairs, all three bedrooms are genuine doubles. The third, free from any staircase bulkhead, makes full and practical use of its entire floor area - that will be a boon to buyers tired of children arguing about the unfairness of one having a room much larger than the other!
The family shower room has been refurbished with equal care, and features a remote wall-mounted shower control that reflects the considered approach taken throughout.
Solid internal walls, a hallmark of quality construction, lend the house an uncommon degree of acoustic privacy - a quiet that one notices immediately and appreciates over time.
To the rear, the conservatory connects the house to a well-enclosed garden enjoys the best of the afternoon and evening sun that comes the western boundary. The patio has been positioned to take full advantage of this aspect, and a substantial rear wall gives the garden a sense of enclosure and privacy. To the front, there is a larger garden that is equally well-kept.
Behind the house is a garage and driveway parking.

Situation
Carterton is West Oxfordshire's second-largest town, established around 1900 by William Carter, a Dorset-based land speculator who developed the area as a colony of smallholdings. The town gained early renown for its market gardening, particularly for the famous Carterton tomatoes and black grapes sold at Covent Garden Market.
RAF Brize Norton is Britain's primary strategic airlift base.
The town centre has benefited from considerable investment in recent years, offering an excellent range of major supermarkets alongside independent retailers, cafés, restaurants, barbers and hairdressers. The town is well served by a lending library, five primary schools and several thriving sports clubs.
In addition to Kilkenny Lane Country Park, the town benefits from a modern leisure centre featuring a swimming pool and gymnasium. Healthcare provision is comprehensive, with a substantial medical centre incorporating dental services and a dispensing pharmacy.
Transport connections are excellent, with regular bus services equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi. Mainline railway services to London Paddington and Oxford are accessible from Hanborough (11 miles) and Charlbury (13 miles) respectively, with an alternative express service to Marylebone available from Oxford Parkway (18 miles).
