Broadmayne is a vibrant village with a primary school, village shop, The Black Dog public house, village hall and the fine St Martin parish church.

The National Trust’s Ringstead Bay is just 4 miles and has an unspoilt beach, surrounded by farmland and dramatic cliffs and the Bay is popular for swimming, windsurfers and kitesurfers.

It is possible to walk to Ringstead Bay via footpaths which is about 3 miles.

The area is well known for its sporting and leisure pursuits which include golf at Dorchester Came Down, Yeovil, Folke and Sherborne golf clubs.

Sailing and water sports all along the Dorset coast, with marinas at Weymouth and Poole (Weymouth being home to the National Sailing Academy).

There is riding and walking in the surrounding countryside. The Dorset coastline is recognised as a World Heritage site and Weymouth is close by with its Georgian seafront and beautiful beach.

Directions
From Dorchester head East on the A352 towards Wareham. Proceed through Broadmayne village, passing The Black Dog public house on the right hand side. The track to Sundown is about 200 yards on the left. Proceed up the track and the driveway to Sundown is on the right hand side after about 200 yards.
