Why Buy This home....
Built in the 1960s, this semi-detached chalet bungalow has been thoughtfully enhanced over the years, including a rear extension and loft conversion completed in 2001, creating two additional bedrooms and significantly increasing the living space.
As you step inside, you're welcomed by a spacious entrance hall, providing plenty of room for coats, shoes and those everyday hellos and goodbyes. To the right is the original family bathroom, which benefits from a window for natural light and ventilation, along with tiled walls that make it both practical and easy to maintain.
Opposite, you'll find one of the ground-floor bedrooms, a comfortable double with ample space for freestanding furniture. Thanks to the flexibility of the accommodation, this room could also make an excellent home office, playroom or hobby room, as the property now benefits from two further double bedrooms upstairs.
Next to this room is a versatile family room, currently used as a hobby space. This would originally have been the principal bedroom before the loft conversion was completed and the staircase to the first floor was added.
The flexibility of this area is one of the property's real strengths. With some reconfiguration, it could potentially be partitioned to create an additional bedroom, making it ideal for larger families or those needing extra accommodation. Alternatively, it can remain as it is, providing a generous second reception room, snug, playroom, or hobby space depending on your needs. The choice is yours, allowing the home to adapt to a variety of lifestyles.
Moving through to the heart of the home, you'll find the extended living and dining area, created as part of the 2001 extension. To ensure the space remains bright and welcoming, two skylights were added alongside double doors opening onto the garden, allowing natural light to pour in throughout the day.
The living area is a comfortable size, easily accommodating a three-piece suite while still feeling spacious. Adjacent to this is the dining area, which provides plenty of room for family meals and entertaining guests.
The kitchen sits just off the dining room and is perfectly functional as it stands. However, there is exciting potential to remove the dividing wall (subject to the necessary checks and permissions), creating a fantastic open-plan kitchen/dining/family space that would suit modern living beautifully.
The kitchen also benefits from a small breakfast area, ideal for a quick bite to eat, enjoying a morning coffee, or keeping the chef company while meals are prepared.
Completing the ground floor is a second bathroom, which has been updated with contemporary grey tiling and features a spacious double shower, providing excellent convenience for family life and visiting guests.
Upstairs, you'll find two generous double bedrooms. The principal bedroom is particularly impressive, stretching the full length of the house and offering an abundance of space. There's easily enough room for a super king-size bed, wardrobes, and additional furniture, while still leaving space for a desk if you work from home.
The second bedroom is another well-proportioned double and would make an ideal room for a younger child, allowing them to be close to mum and dad. Equally, it could serve as a guest room, dressing room, or home office, depending on your family's needs.
The garden is without doubt the standout feature of this home, an impressive, beautifully arranged space that unfolds into a series of distinct areas, each with its own charm. A patio sits closest to the house, providing the perfect spot to relax in the sunshine or enjoy time with friends and family. Beyond this, a generous stretch of lawn offers plenty of room for children to play, whether that’s swings, football, or simply space to run around.
At the heart of the garden sits a wonderful garden room, creating a peaceful retreat away from the main house. Whether you're looking for a place to unwind with a good book, enjoy a glass of wine with friends, or simply escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this versatile space offers the perfect setting to relax and recharge.
Further along, you'll find a greenhouse and dedicated potting area, ideal for those with a passion for gardening or growing your own produce. At the far end, the garden becomes wonderfully secluded, with a peaceful wildlife pond and a charming bridge leading out towards open fields, creating a truly special setting that feels both private and connected to nature.
More about the location...
Newton Longville is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority area of Buckinghamshire. The village is about 2 miles (3 km) south-west of Bletchley.
The main industry in the village between 1847 and 1991 was brick making. The village had a large brick factory, originally belonging to the Read family, becoming the Bletchley Brick company in 1923, and then taken over by the London Brick Company (lbc) in 1929. The works made Fletton bricks and distributed them all over the country. It was closed in November 1991 after Hanson Trust bought the London Brick Company.
Newton Longville Church of England Combined School is a mixed, voluntary controlled primary school, that takes children between the ages of four and eleven. It has slightly over 200 pupils.
