A charming and characterful period cottage in a prime village setting

Description
Jackson Cottage is a very pretty stone cottage dating back to around 1900, located in the highly regarded and popular village of Oddington. The property has been sympathetically maintained over the years and perfectly embodies the charm and character of a quintessential country cottage, offering a rare opportunity to create a beautiful village home.

The accommodation is full of warmth and period detail, beginning with a characterful kitchen featuring exposed beams, a vaulted ceiling and a generous bay window that fills the room with natural light while providing a lovely outlook over the garden. Adjoining the kitchen is a highly practical utility and boot room, an invaluable space for everyday living. The charm continues into the sitting room, which is light and well proportioned, with window seats, a focal stone fireplace with log burner and doors opening directly onto the garden, creating a wonderful connection between inside and out.

On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, both light and comfortable, served by a family bathroom. The cottage benefits from good storage throughout and, while it would now benefit from a degree of modernisation, it offers tremendous potential for a buyer to put their own stamp on the interior while retaining its inherent character.

Outside, the gardens are a particular feature, laid mainly to lawn and enriched by an abundance of mature trees, hedging, rose bushes and established flower beds. The setting is exceptionally pretty, peaceful and private, with a quiet atmosphere that is ideal for rural village living. There are patio areas perfectly suited for summer dining and entertaining, while to the rear there is a driveway and extensive gravelled parking, providing an excellent amount of space and further potential.
