The village of Breasclete has several stone circles from the Bronze Age era and is only a short distance from the world famous Callanish Standing Stones situated in the neighbouring historic village of Callanish.

One of the main services in the village is Breasclete Primary School and it also has a community centre as the base for a number of community groups and organisations.
The thriving community also hosts a pharmaceutical facility, Fish Farming sites in East Loch Roag and Hebridean Soap Co who operate from their base in the village. The croft offers the potential for a variety of agricultural uses and a potential house plot on either side of the road which would look towards distant views of East Loch Roag.
