We loved 66a as soon as we saw it and were drawn to it by the high ceilings, large living room, ample outside space, off street parking and the fact it's close to the train station, town centre and local facilities.

For a town centre property, we feel really lucky to have a good sized garden. We enhanced the outdoor space by having the worn out driveway tarmacked and adding a decking area - it has really opened it all up. Plus the garden and decking get sun all day long.

Even though we are on the ground floor, there is a loft space above the main bedroom which we had boarded over so it provides really good storage.

Our family has grown whilst living here and playgroups, parks, the library and splash pad are all close by, plus Chai Cocoa and Piccolo both have soft play. We're in catchment for Oldfield School, which is a 10 minute walk away.

We've seen the Waterside Quarter really develop and now there are plenty of independent coffee shops, bars and restaurants on our doorstep. Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Lidl are all a short walk away. There's also two 24 hour gyms close by.

York Stream is lovely and we like to walk along it to The Cut or Braywick Park which is also where the leisure centre is.

York Road area feels safe, lots of families live round here and we are lucky to have lovely neighbours who have become very good friends. We are sad to be leaving the area and honestly couldn't recommend it enough!
