We fell in love with Dozmary Lodge the moment we walked through the door. With its open, airy aspect and unique layout, Dozmary quickly became a home with a welcoming, luxurious ambiance.
With thoughtful placement of trees for screening, it is incredibly private which is super for the swimming pool and for entertaining on the decking. Thinking this would be our forever home, we have invested heavily and to a high standard in the property, proud to have improved it from an EPC E to a B. Upgraded and modernised the electrics and plumbing and replaced the boiler. The solar panels we installed are 7.4Kw (generating a whopping 24.4 megawatt hours over 4 years since installation).
Outside has the addition of a new workshop and a landscaped slate water feature, stream and stocked pond.
The swimming pool perhaps best illustrates our commitment to Dozmary Lodge. What was once a simple seasonal outdoor pool has been transformed into a superb year-round facility with a bespoke lockable enclosure, solar thermal heating, air-source heat pumps and a gas heat exchanger. When we bought Dozmary Lodge, 12 years ago, we were strangers to the area and had no idea what a gem of a location it actually is.
Surrounded by woodland, with few houses on the opposite side of the road, you feel like you live in the forest but a mere 5 minutes walk down the footpath you’ll find Balmoral Drive Parade with Tesco Express, pharmacy, pizza parlour and a church.
Within 10 minutes by car, you can access every major supermarket, diy stores, cinemas, Farnborough and Camberley shopping centres and three different railway stations serving London & the South Coast and the Reading and Gatwick lines. There are excellent links to all the major motorways, roads and airports. In addition to being walking distance from excellent schools and colleges.
Access to outdoor spaces and The Surrey Hills is phenomenal and with the woods directly opposite it gives an especially lovely, rural feel.
Perhaps surprisingly for a road where neighbours are screened from one another, there is a strong community in the road and newcomers are invited to join a WhatsApp group.
Having made the hard choice to be nearer our family and grandchildren, we would love to pick it up and take it with us. We feel incredibly fortunate to have called it home and are certain that whoever lives here next will come to appreciate just how special it is.

Unique homes don't come up that often, and certainly not in locations like this, there is so much privacy around this home you'd be forgiven for feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere! The space on offer is flexible to adapt to what one needs, and the local amenities are all close by, as well as great transport links. The outdoor pool has been thoughtfully designed too being able to be fully covered and suitable for all year use! It's definitely worth coming to see this one for yourself.

Area Comment:
Frimley is located within 30 miles from central London with excellent transport links nearby, including junction 4 of the M3 just a few minutes drive away, and the mainline train stations of Farnborough and Brookwood providing quick access into central London. There are a wealth of local amenities on hand; however, Camberley town centre is also located just a 10 minute drive away. For schooling, there are outstanding local schools catering for all ages of education, most of which are within walking distance of St Catherines Road.
