We moved to Stratford Gardens in 2021, from another road in Cox Green, due to our growing family and working at home requirements. It was important for us to stay within the Cox Green area due to its open green spaces, local schools, and community togetherness. We were drawn to this property due to its safe location, with no through traffic and a wonderful green enjoyed by the residents and families, as well as its sizeable plot and the potential for a front/side extension STPP (front extension permission was obtained in May 2023).

The house was a renovation project having no work done to it since the early 1990s. We have put much love and hard work into creating this family home including new windows and doors; boiler and radiators; family friendly kitchen; family bathroom, separate utility space; block paved driveway and electric roller garage door; carpets and flooring throughout; internal doors replaced; solid roof added to the conservatory; roof replaced on garage and front reception room; children’s play area created in the garden.

The home is very versatile for using the various rooms to suit your needs, having two reception rooms, a conservatory and 4 bedrooms, each capable of fitting a double bed. Many of our neighbours have been here for several years, and are easy to get on with. There is a mix of those raising families to those having grown children. Our neighbours have been known to organise street events such as the Queen’s platinum jubilee in 2022. It’s quite unique in Maidenhead to find a location with all Detached properties, which gives that small neighbourhood feel whilst having a generous amount of open space on your doorstep.

Having spent 10 years in Cox Green, it is time for us to relocate. We hope this house will make a wonderful home for the next owners, who are looking to create their next chapter in life.
