Guide Price £800,000-£825,000 - Three Bedroom Period Property For Sale In Leytonstone
Guide Price £800,000-£825,000 - Three-bedroom Edwardian house located close to the sought-after Francis Road area of Leytonstone. Offering well-proportioned accommodation, a good sized rear garden and a wealth of original features, the property presents an exciting opportunity to create a contemporary home within a characterful period setting.
Set behind a small front garden on a quiet residential street, the attractive façade showcases decorative brickwork, a striking bay window and a traditional tiled pathway leading to the covered entrance.
Beyond the red front door, a spacious hallway with original painted floorboards provides access to two reception rooms, a useful cellar, and the kitchen beyond. High ceilings, bay windows, fireplaces and original detailing run throughout, giving the house a strong sense of character and a solid foundation for thoughtful updating.
The two reception rooms offer flexibility for modern family life, whether retained as separate spaces or opened to create a generous through-lounge. To the rear, a conservatory/sun room with integrated shower room offers further potential for reconfiguration, while the large garden provides an excellent blank canvas for landscaping and outdoor entertaining.
Upstairs are three well-proportioned bedrooms and a family bathroom, with original floorboards continuing across much of the first floor. The principal bedroom enjoys a wide bay window and built-in storage, while the remaining rooms offer flexibility for family life, guests or home working.
While requiring modernisation, this is a house with excellent bones, generous proportions and significant scope to enhance. Combined with its location close to the cafés, shops and community atmosphere of Francis Road, it presents a rare opportunity to shape a home to your own tastes in one of East London’s most desirable neighbourhoods. The area also benefits from excellent transport links, attractive tree-lined streets and easy access to green open spaces.
Sellers comments
We moved here from Leyton in 1989 and have many happy memories of our time in the area, including our own little claim to fame – having keyboard lessons with Paul Hardcastle!
Over the years, we’ve enjoyed the convenience of the local leisure centre and, more recently, the addition of the M&S Foodhall. One of the things we have loved most is being within easy walking distance of Hollow Ponds, Epping Forest and Whipps Cross Hospital.
We are not involved in an onward chain, which we hope will help make the moving process as straightforward as possible. We will be sad to leave our home after so many years, but we feel the time is right for a new chapter and hope the next family will be just as happy here as we have been.
