Hello, my name is Lin, and i’ve had the privilege to have lived in this beautiful property for 9 years. I am now looking to move to Norfolk, with my two dogs, Lexi and Lilu to be near close family and start a new chapter.
Blackwater is a bit of a hidden gem, it has excellent rail and motorway links, good schools, gp surgeries, dentist, Hawley lakes and other dog walks with exposure to nature. There are good bus links to Camberley, Yateley, Sandhurst, Crowthorne and Farnborough. The amenities include access to a pharmacy, Lidl, Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Next and M&S/Tesco at The Meadows. There are several petrol stations.
Everything has been done in the house, it’s been a real labour of love and has taken some time but the finished result has made it worthwhile. I think it is homely, but light and bright. The garden is very large and is a sun trap, it is very serene/quiet and you can see some lovely nature, especially squirrels who visit regularly.
The local walks are beautiful and there is variety of options, all of which my dogs enjoy immensely. We will miss all of this, but are looking forward to our new beginnings...
Jack's Comments
I think this home strikes a really nice balance between character and modern living. From the outside, it has all the charm you'd expect from a period property, but inside it's been thoughtfully renovated, so you can simply move straight in without a long list of jobs to do.
The open-plan living space works really well for everyday life, creating a bright and sociable feel, while the generous entrance hall and landing give the house a sense of space that you don't always find in homes of this age. The kitchen and bathroom have both been finished to a high standard, and with the boiler and electrics already updated, there's real peace of mind for the next owner.
Outside, the garden is another real highlight. It's a great size, with plenty of room to enjoy the warmer months, whether that's relaxing on the patio or entertaining friends and family.
Location is another big plus. You're within walking distance of Blackwater train station, The Meadows Shopping Centre and Hawley Woods, making it easy to enjoy everything from your daily commute to weekend walks without needing to jump in the car.
For me, this is the sort of home that will really appeal to first-time buyers or anyone looking for a period property that's already been brought up to date. You still get all the character, but without taking on a renovation project from day one.
