Our Story

When we first found our home on Hoylake Close 10 years ago, it was almost unrecognisable from the house you see today. The property was, to put it kindly, in need of some love! We took it right back to brick and embarked on a full renovation, turning it into a home that we could truly make our own.

As our family grew and the way we used the house changed, we continued to improve it. We added a single-storey side extension and a rear extension, opening up the floorplan and creating the wonderful open, sociable space that we have today. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Whether we are cooking in the kitchen, sitting around the dining table or relaxing in the living area, everyone can still be together - which has made having friends and family over so much more enjoyable.

The house originally had four double bedrooms and a very small family bathroom. We decided that a three-bedroom layout with a large family bathroom and a dedicated study suited our family much better, giving us more generous and practical spaces throughout the house. For a new owner, there is plenty of flexibility too - an en-suite could easily be created, or the property could be adapted back towards its original four-bedroom layout, depending on what works best for you and your family.

When we chose Whitestone, the excellent transport links and easy access to the main motorway network were a big attraction. But ultimately, as a growing family, it was the excellent Ofsted-rated schools that really made the area stand out for us. It gave us the reassurance that we were not only buying a house, but putting down roots somewhere that was right for our children too.

And it really has been a home in every sense of the word.

This is where our children took their first steps, where we celebrated birthdays and Christmases, welcomed friends and family, and made countless memories that we will always treasure. We've also been lucky enough to have wonderful neighbours - friendly, helpful and always there when needed - which has made living here feel even more special.

After 10 very happy years, it is incredibly difficult to say goodbye. I genuinely couldn't have asked for a better home or a better place to raise our family.

But homes are made for living in, and we are excited to think about the next chapter - and even more excited for the next owners to walk through the door, make the space their own, and create their own memories here.

We hope they love it as much as we have.
