This beautifully upgraded coastal home has undergone an extensive transformation, with major works completed in 2024 and further refinements added through winter 2025/26. The result is a striking frontline residence offering exceptional light, space and uninterrupted sea views across the Solent to the New Forest. Its elevated position provides a constantly changing maritime panorama, from yacht racing to passing cruise liners, creating an inspiring backdrop for everyday living.

The accommodation is arranged to maximise flexibility and comfort. All four double bedrooms are positioned on the ground floor, each featuring high quality en suite facilities, modern finishes, Venetian blinds and dual fuel towel rails. Bedrooms three and four currently form a generous principal suite with his and hers bathrooms, though they can easily revert to separate rooms. New carpets throughout enhance the sense of quality.

A stunning feature stairwell captures sweeping sea views as it leads to the first floor, where an impressive open plan kitchen, dining and living space forms the heart of the home. Hidden sliding doors allow the sitting room to be separated when desired. The kitchen is fully fitted with quartz worktops, a self extracting Neff hob, built in Neff oven, integrated full size fridge, double butler's sink, dishwasher and under cupboard lighting. A large utility room provides additional storage, fitted units, a full size freezer and space for laundry appliances. The cloakroom includes a vanity unit, WC and further built in storage. Motorised blinds across the first floor windows add a sleek contemporary touch.

Externally, the house is finished with modern composite cladding, oversized windows and a cutting edge zinc roof system applied to both the main residence and the detached double garage. The gardens have been professionally re landscaped to create a low maintenance yet beautifully designed outdoor environment, including new paths, a north facing terrace with direct waterfront access, a newly built pergola to enjoy the southerly aspect, a powered garden cabin and a large shed.

What the Owner says:
Living here has been a joy for us, especially with Yarmouth Town just a short stroll away and the incredibly convenient ferry link to Lymington. Being able to wander into town for a coffee, dinner, or simply to enjoy the harbour has become part of our everyday rhythm, and the ease of hopping across to the mainland is something we've always appreciated. One of our favourite things is watching the activity on the water — yachts drifting past, paddleboarders heading out, and the gentle buzz of summer boating creating a lovely backdrop to daily life.

We've made the most of having swimming, kayaking, and a whole range of water sports practically on the doorstep. It's the kind of place where you can decide on a whim to take a sea dip or head out for a sunset paddle, and that spontaneity has been a real highlight of living here.
There's also a wonderful sense of history in the home. Discovering that the house was named after the Dashwood family, who once owned the land and the original The Mount, gave the property an added layer of character that we've always enjoyed sharing with visitors.

On a practical note, the double garage and generous parking have been invaluable. Parking in this part of Yarmouth is famously limited, so having secure space for cars, storage, and guests has made everyday life noticeably easier — a real advantage that we know future owners will appreciate.
