Four bedrooms. Two bathrooms. Two lawns. And room for the family to keep on growing.
Tucked away in Rubery, this detached family bungalow is far bigger than it looks from the kerb. A 2020 loft conversion has turned it into a proper four-bedroom home with bathrooms on both floors. There's a huge breakfast kitchen, a bay-fronted lounge with a wood burner, and parking for five or six cars plus a garage. Waseley Hills, the Lickey Hills and Cofton Park are all a short drive away, so weekends take care of themselves.
We asked them what made them buy it...
"We wanted space, and we wanted green space nearby. Here we got both. You're minutes from the Lickey Hills and Waseley, the schools are well regarded, and you can be on the motorway or into Birmingham without any fuss. It's a quiet spot, but everything you need is close by."
What about the house itself?
"It's been a proper project for us. We converted the loft in 2020, with all the approvals in place, and put in new windows and Velux windows at the same time. We fitted a new door and a new boiler more recently too. The wood burner makes the lounge the place to be on a winter evening, and the kitchen is where everyone ends up the rest of the time."
Our agents say...
Start in the kitchen. It's vast. There's counter space for serious cooking, integrated appliances, room for a big family table and a study just off it for homework or the work laptop. Throw open the double French doors and you're straight out onto the decking. Summer dinners practically plan themselves.
The lounge is generous too, with a bay window and a wood burner for those cosy nights in. Bedroom one has its own walk-in wardrobe that doubles as a snug. Bedroom three comes with a bonus room that works as a playroom, a study or simply somewhere to hide the clutter. With a contemporary family bathroom and a second ground floor bathroom with a separate shower, the morning rush gets a lot calmer.
Outside, there's raised decking and a gravel seating area with plenty of space for garden furniture. Two well-kept lawns give the kids room to run. And with parking for five or six cars plus a garage, nobody fights over the drive.
This is a home for big families and growing ones. Call the team and come and see how much space there really is.
