Welcome to Balls Park! A tale as old as time….
When I first visited and drove through the entrance gates we were blown away. The apartment is set in 63 acres of immaculately landscaped grounds, mature trees, feature hedges and an abundance of wildlife. It must be seen to appreciate the magnificence of the views. Truly like something out of a fairytale. This was absolutely the deciding factor for us, we instantly felt at home and all these years on this purchase was the best decision we ever made!
The building is picturesque with a stunning hallway and stairwell which is breathtaking with feature lighting. The communal areas are immaculate and the large windows in the stairwell are a stunning feature it is enjoyable just walking to the front door!
Upon entering the apartment is the welcoming hallway leading through into the kitchen, lounge/diner. This is all open plan, and this space has a fabulous, homely feel. The kitchen is well equipped with built in appliances to give a clean finish. The layout is perfect for entertaining/family life. We enjoy dining here looking out at the views of perfectly landscaped gardens. The fireplace is a favourite feature in the lounge which looks spectacular decorated at Christmas.
We have one double bedroom, which is a generous size. Our family bathroom has a bath and overhead shower in muted décor with feature tiling to give the stunning finish.
There is nothing we enjoy more than sitting in the gardens with a good book sunbathing and enjoying the peace and tranquility not to mention the breathtaking sunsets we have seen.
The apartment comes within an allocated space in the underground parking area as well as key fob access and CCTV across the gardens which adds to the secure feel.
Our home nestles in Balls Park with the most amazing grounds which are Grade II listed on the English Heritage Register of parks & gardens. There is an amazing sense of community here and often we have catch ups with the neighbours when out exploring & we have a gathering in the vestibule at Christmas.
There are the feature gardens, an array of lakes with ducks, and a wild garden where we see rabbits thriving – it is just amazing. I feel so safe here I can go out for runs late at night or early in the morning and I enjoy the bicycle trails too. You must see the grounds to appreciate the grandeur and peacefulness.
Its tranquil setting does not deter from the fact the property remains highly accessible. Beyond the development there is Hertford a short walk away (or even shorter drive, if preferred) with the station and an array of bars, restaurants and quaint shops through the cobbled streets. The A10 and A1 ensure straightforward connections to neighbouring towns and the wider regions.
Simply, Balls Park is picturesque and a truly wonderful place to live!
