“We first fell in love with the property because of the Cotswold stone and the way the house is tucked away at the end of the cul-de-sac. It felt lovely and quiet, and having a park opposite made it ideal for our dogs.”
Every now and again, we come across a home that stands out from the rest. This beautifully presented four-bedroom detached home in Lechlade does just that.
With so much curb appeal, you can’t help but want to take a peek inside.
As you enter the property, you’re met with a bright and inviting entry way. Immediately it feels calm and homely with wooden flooring and an understairs storage nook.
On the right, you’ll find a spacious living room. A fireplace adds a touch of character, while the sliding doors and a large window allow for plenty of natural light. Whether you’re catching up with the family, or having some quiet time curled up with a book, it’s a peachy place to unwind.
The kitchen-dining room is a top spot to entertain. Blue wall tiles, cream storage cupboards and wooden effect worktops come together to create a space that feels modern with a rustic charm. A back door opens out onto the garden, providing easy access in and out.
A dining area close by means no chef misses out on the conversation. Whatever you’re serving up, a big Sunday brunch or nibbly bits for friends, it’s a cosy corner that has you covered.
There’s a downstairs loo to keep things nice and practical.
On the first floor there are four double bedrooms, all are well-presented and ready for you to move straight into.
The main bedroom has the bonus of its own ensuite. Deep green wall tiling, a large standalone shower, brass fixtures and twin vanities, leave you feeling less like you’re at home and more like you’ve just checked in.
For those in need of some extra hanger space, two of the bedrooms have their own built-in wardrobes.
A family bathroom with a shower over the bath means there’s something to keep everyone happy.
At the back of the home, the rear garden is a mix of lawn, patio tiling and bordered edges. With so much space and room for all of your garden furniture, it can be enjoyed all year round. A tip from the current owners, the top left of the garden gets the last bit of sun in the evening. Sundowner? Be rude not to.
There’s a double garage and driveway parking for two for stress-free arrivals home.
Living in Lechlade
In terms of location, you’re in a great patch. Lechlade is a thriving market town. With everything from hairdressers and opticians to new small businesses popping up, there’s always something to keep you entertained. We’d recommend paying Lynwood & Co a visit, it’s the kind of café that remembers your coffee order and has it ready for you to grab from the counter. When you need to stretch your legs, there are lots of walking routes and Cotswold villages to be explored. The New Inn pub makes a lovely stop off for a well deserved glass of wine or bite to eat. A nature reserve is on hand when you feel like taking a seat and watching the world go by.
A home with that little something extra. This one’s a peach.
