The Seller's View
This house has been a really special part of our lives. We’ve called it home for six years, initially as a couple and then for the last two years as a family with our little one, so it’s been the backdrop to some incredibly happy memories.
One of the things we’ve loved most is how the house has adapted with us. The second bedroom started life as our home office before becoming a nursery, and it’s been lovely having that extra space as our lives have changed.
The south facing garden has always been a favourite too. We’ve enjoyed countless breakfasts in the sunshine and dinners outside in the evenings, and it feels really private and peaceful.
We’ve also been very lucky with our neighbours and there’s a lovely sense of community here. The location has made everyday life incredibly easy, with the park, pub, shops, train station and Nature Discovery Centre all within walking distance.
It’s been such a happy and peaceful home for us, particularly during such an important chapter of our lives, and we’ll leave with some really special memories.
Ollie's View
This two bedroom home in Braemore Close, Thatcham has a layout that’s a little different from the norm and has been cleverly adapted over the years.
Originally built as a one bedroom property with the bathroom upstairs, a previous owner extended the ground floor and reworked the layout. The bathroom was relocated downstairs, allowing the former bathroom upstairs to become a second bedroom. It’s smaller than the main bedroom, but provides a really useful additional space that works particularly well as a nursery, home office or study.
The extension also provides additional reception space, with room to create separate living and dining areas.
Outside, there’s a private south facing rear garden with a large shed providing useful additional storage. The allocated parking space is positioned right beside the rear garden gate too, which is a really handy feature for everyday life.
For me, it’s a home that makes clever use of the space available. You’ve got two bedrooms, flexible living space, a sunny garden and allocated parking, all in a well connected part of Thatcham.

Thatcham town centre is within walking distance, giving you easy access to shops, cafés, pubs and everyday amenities, while Thatcham railway station is also around 0.7 miles away, making this a particularly handy location for commuters.
One of the real highlights locally is the Nature Discovery Centre and Thatcham Reedbeds, with lakeside, woodland and countryside walks providing a brilliant escape without having to get in the car. There are also parks and plenty of walking routes around this side of Thatcham.
For those travelling further afield, the A4 provides straightforward access towards Newbury and Reading, while the railway station offers services towards Reading and London Paddington.
It’s this combination that makes this part of Thatcham so appealing. You can walk into town, get to the station easily and have some fantastic outdoor spaces nearby, while still being well connected for work and everyday life.
