About this property
"I have absolutely loved living on Beryl Road and this house has been a peaceful haven for me. Despite being near bustling North Street, it is on a quiet cul de sac and the street has a really friendly community vibe with lovely neighbours who are always helping each other out. The house is very special to me, it is a quirky place with great period features and everyone who visits comments on how much they love the open staircase, as well as the huge bookshelves along the living room and dining room walls. I have completely renovated the downstairs bathroom and the en suite since living here, including adding wooden panelling to both, and a large roll top bath which I absolutely love. The open plan space is perfect for hosting and I just love how warm and inviting the space is. I will miss this house very much!"
This home
Full of colour, character and personality, this charming Victorian terrace offers a wonderfully inviting home, with original features sitting comfortably alongside thoughtful updates. The bay-fronted living room is a warm and characterful space, with stripped wooden floors and plenty of natural light. Beyond, the dining room has a particularly lovely feel, centred around an ornate period fireplace and opening naturally towards the kitchen – creating a sociable ground-floor layout while retaining a sense of separation between each room. The kitchen provides plenty of storage and workspace, leading through to a generous bathroom at the rear. Here, patterned flooring, panelled walls, a freestanding bath and separate shower give the room plenty of character.
Upstairs are two excellent double bedrooms, both beautifully proportioned and continuing the home's colourful, individual style. The rear bedroom also benefits from its own en-suite.
Outside
Outside, the private rear garden is predominantly paved for easy maintenance, with established planting around the edges and plenty of room for outdoor dining and entertaining.
Living in Bedminster
Beryl Road is a quiet residential cul-de-sac just off Chessel Street in Bedminster. The house lies close to North Street, a hub for local independents, restaurants, and shops, including Michelin recommended cor and other, coffee shops Sweven and Burra, and The Tobacco Factory - a café, bar, and theatre that hosts a bustling Sunday market.
Several parks surround Beryl Road, with South Street Park just around the corner and the larger Greville Smyth Park a 15 minute walk away. Just beyond Greville Smyth (a further 20 minutes) is the sprawling Ashton Court Estate - home to the annual Bristol Balloon Fiesta and 850 acres of wood and grassland.
