Space, Privacy & Countryside Living – A Three-Bedroom Bungalow On A Generous Quarter-Acre Plot

Summary

Set within the peaceful North Norfolk village of East Ruston, this spacious three-bedroom detached bungalow offering comfortable single-storey living, a fantastic plot and the added benefit of no onward chain.

Sitting on approximately a quarter of an acre, the property is nicely set back from the road, with mature hedging creating a good degree of privacy.

There's plenty of off-road parking, a garage and gated access through to the beautifully established gardens.

Inside, the accommodation offers a really practical layout. At the heart of the home is the generous dual-aspect kitchen/diner, complemented by a separate utility room.

The spacious living room features an attractive fireplace and flows through into the conservatory, creating another lovely space to sit and enjoy views across the garden.

There are three good size bedrooms alongside the family bathroom, making this a home that could work equally well for someone downsizing without wanting to compromise on space, a couple wanting room for guests and hobbies, or anyone simply looking for the convenience of bungalow living.

Outside is where this home really comes into its own.

The gardens have clearly been loved and established over time, with lawns, mature planting, colourful borders, a pond and multiple seating areas, allowing you to find somewhere to enjoy the garden throughout the day.

All of this comes with the countryside on your doorstep, while Stalham and North Walsham are both within easy reach for everyday facilities.

The Norfolk Broads and the beautiful coastline around Happisburgh are also just a short drive away.

Agents Comments

For me, there are three things that really stand out about this home: The space, the garden and the location.

If you're looking for a bungalow, you don't necessarily want downsizing to mean compromising, and I don't think you have to here.

You've got three bedrooms, a generous kitchen/diner, a proper living room, conservatory and utility room, so there's plenty of flexibility.

Then there's the plot.

At approximately a quarter of an acre, you've got a fantastic amount of outside space, and the garden isn't simply a large lawn.

It's been thoughtfully established with mature planting, pathways, different seating areas and a lovely pond, giving it plenty of character.

East Ruston is also a great choice if you want that quieter North Norfolk village lifestyle, while still being able to get into Stalham or North Walsham easily.

Add the Broads, countryside and coast into the mix and you've got a property that offers a really appealing way of life.

And with no onward chain, this home is ready for its next owner to start that next chapter.

Vendors Comments

We moved to Norfolk in the 90's and found this bungalow by chance, quiet yet convenient and just a stones throw from the Weavers Way pathway off of the lane, ideal for walking, biking etc.

The children and our labrador loved it too.

Raised my children in this pretty village with good schools close by.

The broads, beaches, Norwich and beautiful Bacton Woods a short drive away.

If your after rural life with extras this is the place.
