Part of an imaginative conversion of the former Queens Arms public house in 2019, Queens Mews is a distinctive development of just nine individual homes, sympathetically designed to retain the character and architectural features of the original building.
Offering approximately 1,035 sq ft of accommodation arranged over two floors, No. 1 is aesthetically pleasing with a wonderful combination of traditional features and the exposed timber beams, natural stonework and vaulted bedroom ceilings provide warmth and character, while the contemporary bespoke fitted kitchen, beautifully appointed bathrooms and flexible accommodation make this a practical and comfortable home.

Our thoughts
There's something really special about No. 1 Queens Mews; it's a beautifully individual home with a wonderful feel inside, combining the character and charm of the original building with smart, contemporary finishes. We adore the exposed beams, natural stonework and all those lovely architectural details that make this property so unique.
The bedrooms are particularly impressive; both are wonderfully spacious, with stunning vaulted ceilings and exposed timbers creating a luxurious, boutique hotel feel. The principal bedroom is a real highlight, with its own walk-in wardrobe and beautifully appointed en-suite bathroom, complete with a separate bath and shower. Plus there's loft storage accessed from the dressing room. The second bedroom is equally appealing, with its own en-suite shower room, while downstairs, the study is perfect for as a home office or occasional third bedroom.
And the location really couldn't be much better. New Mills town centre is quite literally on your doorstep, with its lovely independent cafés, shops and amenities, while the spectacular scenery of The Torrs, beautiful parks and countless countryside walks are all within easy reach. It's a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors, with some truly picturesque surroundings.
There's even a little garden to enjoy, and the convenience of your own allocated parking space immediately behind the property.
We think this is a fantastic home for first-time buyers, professionals and downsizers alike. It offers a brilliant balance of character, comfort and practicality, with generous accommodation and everything you need close at hand.
There's so much to love about this one. It's stylish, full of personality and just that little bit different from anything else on the market.
The location
New Mills is a thriving and characterful town on the edge of the Peak District National Park, offering an appealing combination of independent shops, cafés, local amenities and spectacular surrounding countryside.
The town is well known for The Torrs, its dramatic riverside gorge, the Millennium Walkway and an excellent network of scenic walks, all of which are within easy reach of the property.
For commuters, New Mills benefits from two railway stations. New Mills Central provides services on the Manchester–Sheffield line, while New Mills Newtown serves the Manchester–Buxton route.
With its strong sense of community, excellent outdoor recreation and convenient connections to surrounding towns and cities, New Mills is an increasingly appealing place to call home.
A characterful, low-maintenance home offering generous accommodation, excellent flexibility and a superb location – ideal for professionals, downsizers or anyone looking for something a little different.
