About this property

We’ve loved living here, especially when our children were two and four, with trips to the Hawk’s gym toddler sessions, coffee and waffles at No. 12, and sweet treats from Bristol Sweet Mart being part of everyday life. The Victorian bones, high ceilings and original features give the house real character, while the recently swept log burner makes it wonderfully cosy in winter. It’s perfectly placed- close to town yet with a strong community feel, & easy access to the Bristol to Bath cycle path.

    The home

A charming two bedroom Victorian terrace on Lena Street, in the heart of Easton, with a handsome stone frontage, bay windows to both floors and a cheerful mint green front door. Inside, the house offers bright, well proportioned accommodation full of period character and is offered to the market with no onward chain.

Entrance is through a hallway with stairs rising to the first floor. To the front, the sitting room is a light and welcoming space centred on a large bay window, with a wood burning stove set into an exposed brick fireplace on a slate hearth. Floating timber shelves fill one alcove, while high ceilings and original cornicing add to its period charm. An opening leads through to the dining room, giving a lovely sense of flow from front to back.

To the rear, the dining room has painted floorboards, plenty of space for a family table and French doors opening straight out to the garden, making it a natural spot for everyday meals and summer gatherings alike. Beyond, the galley kitchen is fitted with timber worktops, white tiling and a mix of open shelving and black metal racking, giving it a relaxed, industrial feel. There’s an integrated oven, hob with extractor over and a window bringing in natural light.

Upstairs, the principal bedroom is a superb room, spanning the full width of the house with a bay window to the front, hanging rails for clothes and ample space for a desk or dressing area. The second bedroom is a comfortable double to the rear, with an original cast iron fireplace and room for a desk. The family bathroom sits at the back of the house, finished with neutral tiling, a bath with shower over, a heated towel rail and a window bringing in plenty of light.

    The outside space

The rear garden is reached directly through the French doors from the dining room. Enclosed by brick walls, it’s a private courtyard style space and a genuine blank canvas, ready for new owners to add a patio, pots and planting and make it their own.

    Living in Easton

Lena Street sits in the heart of Easton, one of Bristol’s most characterful and community-minded neighbourhoods, prized for its distinctive character, independent spirit and strong sense of community. The nearby St Marks Road is a real draw, home to Bristol Sweet Mart, Garden of Easton and East Bristol Bakery, alongside a wealth of other independent cafes, restaurants and shops popular with locals and visitors alike. Also close by are The Greenbank pub, Este Kitchen and Matter Wholefoods.

Greenbank Cemetery offers a peaceful green space right on the doorstep, while the Bristol to Bath Railway Path is just minutes away, ideal for commuting, running or weekend cycling. The area is well connected to the city centre and beyond by bike, road and train, with the M32 and A431 to Bath both easily accessible. Families are well served too, with a good choice of well regarded local schools nearby, along with Easton Leisure Centre and the wider green spaces of Eastville and St George parks close at hand.
