Property Insight
Formerly the Angel Inn, a public house that served Soham for many years before its conversion to a home, this period property carries a sense of history that few conventional houses can match. It sits in a prominent position on Station Road behind a handsome yellow-brick frontage, its wide former-bar window a reminder of its earlier life, and has been noted within the town’s heritage records as a building of local interest.

The heart of the home is a generous dual-aspect lounge, where a wood-burning stove sits within a bold painted surround and built-in shelving frames the chimney breast. A separate dining room opens off the hall, with space for a large table and a window onto the garden, and leads through to a fitted kitchen of painted shaker-style units, solid wood worktops and a range cooker. Upstairs are three well-proportioned bedrooms and a recently re-tiled family bathroom, with a cloakroom completing the ground floor.

Outside, the rear garden is laid to lawn with mature borders and a raised deck for summer dining, while a timber studio with power and light offers a ready-made home office or workshop. With off-road parking to the rear and a position moments from Soham station and the town centre, it is a home for buyers drawn to character over the uniform - one with the space, and the history, to make genuinely their own.
