On the open market for the first time in nearly 80 years, a beautiful unlisted cottage, with far-reaching views over water meadows.

Longstock Mill Cottage, once two mill workers’ cottages, was knocked through into one dwelling after Longstock Mill House, the mill and cottage were sold by the Houghton Club in 1948. It has been let out for much of the current owners’ occupation of the Mill House and is now offered for sale for the first time in nearly 80 years.

This beautiful cottage is constructed of brick and flint elevations under a tiled roof. The house is not listed. The property stands in an elevated position fronting the village road, overlooking its delightful cottage garden and the water meadows beyond.

Accessed down some steps off Longstock Road, the house extends to 865 sq ft in all. The accommodation provides an entrance hall, sitting room, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor. Upstairs, the main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, whilst a further bedroom has an adjoining shower room, with separate access from the landing. All rooms face east over the water meadows.

There is a lovely area of cottage garden to the front and a raised area of decking from which to enjoy the views.

Longstock Mill Cottage is located 0.3 mile north of the desirable Stockbridge High Street with its independent shops, bars and restaurants as well as offering wonderful countryside walks on Stockbridge Common and the Test Way.

The Cathedral City of Winchester is a 20-minute drive from the property and Salisbury is within a 30-minute drive, both offering extensive amenities, leisure activities and restaurants.
Andover train station is 8.5 miles distance with services to London Waterloo in 1 hour 10 minutes. Winchester train station is 9.5 miles distance providing a fast train service to London Waterloo from 55 minutes.
