Enjoying an enviable location in the sought after village of Turvey sits this stunning two bedroom retirement apartment in the Inspired Village of Elderswell. With cosy pubs and quaint shops, offering a peaceful village life, the River Ouse flows through the region providing stunning riverside views and pleasant walking trails. You won't be far from urban pursuits either, with the towns of Bedford, Northampton and Milton Keynes all within easy reach, providing a wealth of shopping, entertainment and great places to eat out.
Elderswell is a place where age matters less, where you can enjoy an engaged and active lifestyle. The village environment actively helps to encourage wellbeing, through the social activities, clubhouse facilities, wellness centre and the accessibility of every home. However, in time, many of us require additional care and support to help us maintain a good life. Elderswell aims to provide a 'flexible care environment' able to provide just the right amount of help and support that you need. We understand that everyone is different, and that means that their needs and preferences are different too.
The apartment is finished to a very high standard and has been designed to suit residents requiring extra services and support by combining elegance and comfort with features that help to maximise independence. The kitchens and shower rooms are fitted with modern, stylish equipment designed to help make life easier and more rewarding. These include easy-turn taps, easy-open windows, level-access showers and power sockets positioned at a convenient height. In addition, every apartment is linked to a 24-hour emergency call system. There are two well proportioned bedrooms both with fitted wardrobes and the master bedroom has an en-suite shower room. There is a large living room with a balcony which overlooks farmers fields.
Facilities include a hydro pool and spa facilities, members exercise timetable that includes Yoga, Bootcamp, Keep Fit, Meditation, and Weights Circuits, among others. Hairdressers, Library, Gym, Transport services, Yoga deck and a restaurant and bar!
Set in the scenic Bedfordshire countryside, Elderswell offers a rural retreat with easy access to an array of big towns. Located in the pretty village of Turvey which promises peace and calm with a selection of small shops and amenities.
Recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086, Turvey's historical roots can be seen through the beautiful buildings dotted throughout the area, including the stunning Turvey House which - along with its beautiful gardens - is open to visitors at various times during the year. Enjoying a prominent position near the River Ouse, the location features a rich landscape ideal for a stroll. If village life gets a bit too sleepy for you, you can always pick up the pace and head to nearby Milton Keynes for some retail therapy.
Leasehold: Service Charge & Event Fees apply*
Service Charges
From 1 January 2026, the annual service charge will be:
£10,050 per year for single occupancy (£837.50 per month)
£10,643 per year for double occupancy (£886.91 per month)
Service charges are payable monthly in advance. They are reviewed annually and may change in line with inflation, cost of services, and contractual terms. Full details are provided in the Key Facts document.
Event Fees
The percentage payable is 6% of the selling price in the first year of your ownership, 9% in year 2,12% in year 3,15% in year 4,18% in year 5, and thereafter.
An event fee is payable on the resale of your property. The percentage depends on how long you have owned it:
For example, if you purchased for £500,000 and sold for the same price in year 5, the total event fee would be £90,000. If the resale price is higher or lower, the fee will change accordingly.
You may choose to prepay the event fee at the outset as a fixed 15% of the original purchase price, instead of paying the applicable percentage on resale. This is optional and must be agreed upon before completion.
For full details on costs, terms, and conditions, please review our Key Facts document and speak to our sales team at
Bespoke illustrations can be provided for customers for any specific property, sale value, and percentage change in value.
