Space, Character & Lifestyle – An Impressive Four-Bedroom Home In A Prime Stalham Location
Summary
If you're searching for a home with genuine character, an abundance of space and a location that makes everyday family life incredibly convenient, this impressive property on Brumstead Road could be exactly what you've been waiting for.
Set back from the road behind a mature front garden and long driveway providing ample off-road parking, there's a feeling of privacy before you've even stepped through the front door.
Inside is where the sheer amount of accommodation really becomes apparent. This is a home that's full of charm and personality, while still giving its next owners plenty of opportunity to put their own stamp on it.
With multiple reception rooms, four bedrooms, three bathrooms and space for a home office, there's tremendous flexibility. Whether you have a growing family, regularly have guests staying, work from home or simply want rooms that can evolve as your circumstances change, there's space here to make it work.
Outside, the established gardens continue the character of the property, with mature front and rear spaces providing plenty of opportunity to relax, entertain and enjoy.
Then there's the location. Brumstead Road is perfectly positioned for Stalham High Street, local schools, shops and everyday amenities, many of which can be reached on foot. You're also ideally placed for enjoying the Norfolk Broads, countryside and coast, with both the river and beach within easy reach by car.
This is more than simply a four-bedroom property. It's a spacious, versatile home offering character, convenience and a fantastic Norfolk lifestyle.
Dan's View...
For me, there are three things that really stand out here: Space, character and location.
From the moment you arrive, this feels like a home with personality. The mature front garden sets the property nicely back from the road, while the long driveway immediately gives you the practicality needed for a larger family home.
Once inside, you really start to appreciate just how much accommodation there is. Four bedrooms, multiple reception spaces, three bathrooms and room to create a dedicated home-working area means you're not constantly having to compromise on how you use the house.
I also like that it isn't a property where everything has been stripped of its individuality. There's plenty of existing charm and character, but equally there's an opportunity for the next owners to come in and gradually make it their own.
And finally, there's Brumstead Road itself. Being able to walk into Stalham, get the children to school, reach the shops and have your everyday facilities close by makes such a difference. Then at weekends you've got the Broads, countryside and Norfolk coastline waiting to be enjoyed.
For a family looking for space, or simply someone wanting a character home that offers a different lifestyle, I think there's a huge amount to like here.
Vendor's Comments
The Birches was built in 1904 and as many of its original features remain we have endeavoured to maintain it in keeping with these.
Over the past 20 years the house has been rewired, new central heating and boiler installed, the facia and two woodburners replaced, and a new oil tank this year.
The garden has been maintained as a wildlife haven as well as containing 12 varieties of fruit trees, spring bulbs, a wide selection of roses, bee friendly shrubs, prennenials, and also a small pond.
Now that our family have grown up and left home we have (sensibly!) decided to downsize. We plan to remain local as we love Stalham and the surrounding area!
We hope that whoever moves here will be as happy as we have been.
