Description
The current owners of 9 Station Road have lived in the house for over 40 years and it has been a much loved family home.

When they first moved in it was a four downstairs and four upstairs house. They built two attic bedrooms, extended the back and built the garage. They also built the extension on the north side of the house. While digging the foundations signs of a previous dwelling were found including a well which has been filled in.

The house was originally called Rose Cottage. The roses have long since gone and it is certainly not a cottage! Legend has it that the house once changed hands for a leg of lamb in a deal made in a local pub! (There may be an element of truth in this as the deeds show that the purchaser in1927 was a local butcher.)

With the big hedge at the front of the house it is surprisingly private. Even in winter the current owners are seldom bothered by traffic noise.

The back garden is spacious and enclosed making it ideal for families with children who can be supervised from the kitchen. There is even a wall to kick a football against without bothering neighbours!

It is a lovely house in a great area in which to raise a family and a very convenient place to live. Shops, letterbox, schools, bus stop, garage, three pubs and the playing field are all within easy walking distance as well as being a short distance to the motorway.
