About this property

"We absolutely love living in St George! We’ve enjoyed breathing new life into our first home, bringing back some of its original character. It’s been the perfect first home for us and we’ve made so many happy memories. We enjoy cocktails and bbq’ing in our sun soaked garden during the summertime, and cosy evenings in front of the log burner during the colder months. Our home is surrounded by green spaces - we love walking our dog at troopers hill, or down by Conham river. A short walk to the park means we made the most of the newly renovated bowls club, and the Rose and crown pub has been a perfect local. We have felt such a sense of community in Bellevue Road, and have made genuine friends with our neighbours!"

The Home

Situated on Bellevue Road in the popular area of St George, this charming two-bedroom Victorian home offers an impressive 1,273 sq ft of accommodation, with two reception rooms, a generous kitchen/dining space, a useful cellar and a versatile loft room. Retaining plenty of character throughout, the property offers a lovely balance of period features and practical living space. Bellevue Road is wider than the neighbouring roads and has ample on-street parking options.

The ground floor begins with a welcoming living room to the front, featuring a bay window, decorative detailing and a feature fireplace which creates a lovely focal point. The room has a warm and inviting feel, with plenty of space for a comfortable seating arrangement.

To the rear, the separate dining room provides a great space for hosting friends and family, with original built-in shelving and ample room for a dining table. There is a natural flow through the ground floor, with the kitchen positioned towards the rear of the property and offering a practical arrangement for everyday cooking and entertaining.

Upstairs, there are two well-proportioned bedrooms. The principal bedroom is a particularly generous room, benefitting from a bay window and plenty of space for bedroom furniture. The second bedroom offers further flexibility, whether used as a guest bedroom, child's room or home office. The family bathroom completes the first-floor accommodation, fitted with a bath and overhead shower, wash basin and WC.

One of the real highlights of this home is the additional space available beyond the main accommodation. The usable loft room is a fantastic bonus, with Velux windows, exposed ceiling beams and plenty of potential for use as a hobby room, home office or additional storage. There is also a substantial basement offering an excellent amount of practical storage and plenty of versatility. Currently used for a combination of utility room, storage, bikes and household essentials, it provides a genuinely useful space that is often hard to come by in period homes.

The Outside

To the rear is a South-West facing, private garden. Designed to be low-maintenance, it offers a lovely spot to enjoy some outside space without the upkeep of a larger garden. It provides room for outdoor seating and somewhere to relax during the warmer months.
