Key Changes to Member Terms and Conditions
Key Changes Summary
We have updated our Member Terms and Conditions to reflect the evolving digital landscape and to provide greater clarity on the way we provide our products and services. Here are the main changes:
Contract changes and notifications: We have improved the process for making future changes to the contract. Instead of simply posting changes online, we will provide you with prior written notice via email.
Fee adjustments: We have adjusted the notice period regarding Fee changes. Any changes to the Fees will be notified to Members with 15 days’ prior written notice.
Increased liability protection: We have increased the cap on our liability to you. Previously this was limited to Fees paid in the preceding 3 months, this cap is now increased to the total Fees paid in the preceding 12 months, offering you greater contractual protection.
Service standards and upload timelines: We have clarified the requirements around Content and Member Criteria to improve the integrity of our site. Data Protection: We have updated our Data Protection terms, which are now set out in a separate Data Protection Schedule, to align with current regulations. We have clarified our obligations when we will act as a Processor (handling data on your instructions) and when Zoopla and the Member act as independent Controllers (making our own decisions regarding data).
Transparency: If you use autonomous technology, machine learning and other analogous technologies to generate content (such as photographs or videos) you should ensure transparency for consumers. We have also clarified how we may use such tools to better support our services to you.
