Barrow in Furness

Barrow is a thriving town with a population of around 67,500, situated on the Furness Peninsular, with a coastline onto the Irish Sea and Morecambe Bay.

The principal local employer is BAE Systems Marine, who have a worldwide reputation for the design and build of Nuclear Submarines for the Royal Navy and there are many supporting, and other, businesses in the district.

Junction 36 of the M6 can be reached in 40 minutes or so, a train journey to London Euston in about 3hrs and 30 minutes and there is a direct train service to Manchester Airport for those wanting to jet away to the sunshine.
