A joint venture between L&Q and The Mayor of London, Barking Riverside will grow to house 30,000 people over the next 15 years, with 10,800 new homes and 65,000 square metres of commercial space set to be built on the 443 acre site – creating a brand new destination in East London.

The site will also be home a state-of-the-art health and leisure centre, a riverside hub of commercial and retail space and an ecology centre, offering a wealth of facilities and opportunities for residents. The site will also benefit from Envac, an automated waste disposal system.

Barking Riverside residents have Central London on their doorstep, with C2C trains running from nearby Dagenham Dock to London Fenchurch Street in 24 minutes and regular bus services running between the development and both Dagenham Dock and Barking Station. In 2021, a new Barking Riverside station will open as part of a £263 million extension to the London Overground by Transport for London. Once up and running, residents will be able to reach central London in just 22 minutes. Limited parking will be available across the Parklands phase, residents will also have access to an Enterprise Car Club service.
