Offley is a picturesque and peaceful village in North Hertfordshire, sitting on the top of a hill and surrounded by idyllic rolling countryside, located between Hitchin and Luton.
Offley's local amenities include a post office and convenience store (with a new store to be built during 2020), hairdressers, a primary school rated good by ofsted, the pretty village church of St Mary's and of course two village pubs and a chinese restaurant. These offer a meeting place, entertainment and a rest stop for weekend walkers. The village has a good community, with the local village hall running many weekly social and sports activities.

Close to the Chiltern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, there are many walks, bike routes and bridle paths within the area. Offley Place, a 17th century Country House Hotel and wedding venue, sits in the centre of the village, surrounded by 27 acres of parkland.

For more comprehensive amenities, the historic market town of Hitchin is just minutes away, where there is a vast range of independent shops and boutiques, as well as the more familiar High Street stores and a Waitrose supermarket. In recent years, the town has developed its own exciting and vibrant modern cafe culture and visitors are spoilt for choice with the many restaurants, cafes and wine bars, often spilling out onto the cobbled market square. For transport links, Offley is perfect situated, with access to the A6 and A1M just over ten minutes away. The A5 and M1 (junction 10A) are under 20 minutes away by car, with links to the M25, M40 and M11. There is a regular bus service to both Hitchin, Stevenage and Luton. Hitchin is the closest rail station, which offers a fast, frequent service to London Kings Cross and St Pancras in under 30 minutes. For international travel, London Luton Airport is only 6 miles distance.
