Description

A stunning new Arts and Crafts style stone built three bedroom home in a sought after village within easy reach of Oxford

Location

Bletchingdon is a charming and sought after village situated just 5 miles to the north of the University City of Oxford.

The village itself offers a primary school, nursery, sports field, pub, village hall, parish church and a small shop as part of the new Duchy Field development.

The nearby villages of Islip, Weston on the Green and Kirtlington also provide more amenities while nearby Kidlington or Summertown provide more extensive shopping.

Communications are excellent with Junction 9 of the M40 some 3 miles away, as well as access to Oxford via the A34. There is a fast train service from Bicester Village, Islip or Oxford Parkway to London Marylebone in around an hour.

Description

On the stunning Duchy Field development, home 42 is a three bedroom home available on North Crescent, just five majestic houses with classic Arts and Crafts style exteriors and contemporary interiors.

Home 42 is a two storey, high specification three bedroom townhouse of 1424 sqft from an architect appointed by the Duchy of Cornwall. There is an extraordinary level of attention to detail throughout, from the Welsh slate roof tiles to the pewter finish internal door ironmongery.

The rooms in this home are designed to take into account the needs of today's contemporary family lifestyle. An oversized front door opens to a generous entrance hall. To the left, double doors open to the dual aspect living room with fireplace and oak mantelpiece detailing and french doors leading to the garden. To the right an open plan kitchen dining room, fully fitted with all appliances and benefitting from french doors leading to the patio area and rear garden.

An under-stairs storeroom and guest cloakroom complete the ground floor.

A staircase with oak detailing leads to the first floor which comprises the master bedroom with generous wardrobe area and ensuite shower room together with two additional bedrooms and family bathroom. Bedroom 3 also benefits from open views across the adjacent countryside.

Externally this lovely home is handed over fully landscaped to the front with lighting installed. There's also a separate garage and additional off-street parking space. Further visitor parking is available throughout the scheme. A Co-operative store is located at the entrance to Duchy Field and there is a Primary School adjacent.
