Market Place, Holsworthy – An Exclusive Collection of 3 & 4 Bedroom Homes in a Historic Market Town Setting
Set within the heart of the traditional Devon market town of Holsworthy, Market Place is a small and beautifully designed development of just 19 high-quality 3 and 4-bedroom homes. Positioned on the edge of town and forming part of the former Market Quarter site, these homes enjoy wonderful views over rolling countryside, yet remain just a short walk from the town’s many amenities.
Finished in a mix of classic red brick and crisp white render, each property combines timeless style with modern comfort. All homes benefit from driveway parking and a garage, alongside private gardens, creating an ideal setting for families, professionals, or those seeking a relaxed lifestyle in a welcoming rural community.
Inside, every detail has been considered to provide both comfort and practicality. Kitchens feature a choice of units and finishes (subject to build stage), laminate worktops with matching upstands, and a range of integrated appliances including an oven, induction hob, canopy hood, and on selected plots, a fridge freezer and dishwasher. LED chrome downlights, soft-close cupboards and drawers, and stylish contemporary design make the kitchen the perfect heart of the home.
Bathrooms and en-suites are finished to the same high standard, with white sanitaryware, co-ordinated wall tiles, chrome towel radiators (on selected plots), and modern thermostatic showers. Throughout each property, you’ll find painted walls and timberwork, quality skirting and architraves, and convenient touches such as usb charging sockets and TV/telephone points in key rooms.
Every home at Market Place is built with efficiency and longevity in mind. High levels of wall and loft insulation, double glazing, and modern central heating systems (with programmable thermostats) ensure warmth, comfort, and reduced running costs all year round. Outside, each property enjoys turfed front and rear gardens, close-board fencing, external lighting, and a front door with chrome fittings and safety features.
For peace of mind, all homes come with a 10-year NHBC Buildmark Warranty and 2 years of dedicated customer support following your move-in.
Located on the site of Holsworthy’s original cattle market, Market Place is steeped in local heritage and perfectly placed for modern living. Holsworthy itself is a thriving market town in the heart of Ruby Country, an area named after the famous Ruby Red cattle that graze the surrounding fields. The town offers a warm community atmosphere with a weekly cattle market, a lively Wednesday pannier market, and an excellent selection of independent shops, pubs, cafés, and restaurants. There’s also a supermarket, leisure centre, museum, and library, all within easy reach.
For those who love the outdoors, the area offers an abundance of walking and cycling opportunities. The Ruby Trails provide miles of scenic countryside routes, while links to North Devon’s Tarka Trail make it easy to explore further afield. Culm grassland, an internationally recognised habitat, is nearby, offering rich wildflower meadows and rare wildlife, while the Hartland Peninsula, Bude, and Widemouth Bay are all within a short drive, providing access to rugged coastline and sandy beaches. Dartmoor National Park lies just inland, perfect for hiking, cycling and riding through unspoilt natural landscapes.
With its peaceful position, excellent local amenities and easy access to both North Devon and North Cornwall, Market Place offers a superb balance of town and country living - a place where modern comfort meets traditional character.
