This house is situated at the upper end of Rezzo, a small Ligurian village of 400 inhabitants in the Valle della Giara. The village itself has one trattoria and 2 food shops with adjacent bar whereas Pieve di Teco, some 7 km down the road, has plenty of shopping facilities and a number of restaurants to offer. The beaches of Alassio, Albenga or Imperia are a comfortable 30 minutes drive away. The historic building provides some 138 qm living space split over three levels. The entrance hall, kitchen, dining room and guest loo are on the ground floor, the living room with balcony, one bedroom with access to the terrace and the bathroom are on the first floor. One further bedroom with pitched roof is in the attic. Due to the position on a gently sloping hill, the ground floor and first floor have access to the surrounding garden. The terrace, opening into the garden from the first floor, is spacious and tiled with natural stone slabs. Also on the grounds is a small building (14.20 qm), which could be converted into a garden house or a guest room. The garden (ca. 75 qm) outside the ground floor has so far been left to its natural state but a layout for a landscape design is already in place. Also at ground floor level is a cellar room to be accessed from the garden only. When the house was renovated in 2005, genuine and rustic elements such as slate steps, wall hung cupboards, floors, windows and doors were maintained and renovated wherever possible. The house has gas central heating fed by communal gas and a wood fired oven in the living room and in the attic bedroom. Public parking is available only a short walk away.
