The village, Casais da Moreta, is very small but it does have a very good cafe/restaurant where you can eat excellent bacalhau (Portugal's most typical fish dish). In Monsanto, the next village, just a 3 minute drive away, there is a minimarket, post office, health centre, primary school and nursery. A 10 minute drive takes you to the nearest town - Alcanena - where there are banks, chemists and a weekly market. The property is only a 75 minutes drive from Lisbon airport
