The estate of Casa Las Tercias with main house, chapel and stone barn sits in what is essentially a private valley of over 40,000 sqm (4 hectares). The land around and forest in front all belong to the estate, with 70,000 sqm (7 hectares/ over 17 acres) of land overall, as well as a series of outbuildings for storage of machinery to maintain the estate and farm. The house faces south out over the valley with spectacular views of the mountains including the Picos de Europa range.

This three storey, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house of almost 500 sqm built area overall, has an internal usable area of 400 sqm. It was fully re-built 50 years ago, renovated 25 years ago and has been well maintained since then, including new heating system and basement insulation works in 2014.

The chapel, that had its last mass in the 1800’s, dates from the seventeenth century and was built from a Mexican fortune made by a descendent from the nearby village of Sinariega. One of the original bells is still in the local village church.

Sinariega village is only 8 kilometres from Arriondas, a small market town with shops, bars, restaurants, banks, public transport, supermarket and hospital. This part of Asturias benefits from a number of excellent restaurants, such as Casa Marcial and El Corral del Indianu, both Michelin starred. Cangas de Onis, ancient capital of Asturias, is 15 kilometres away and, for two hundred years, has a traditional farmers market every Sunday.

Connections are good for both coast and mountains; the pretty seaside town of Ribadesella is only 10 kilometres, and Picos de Europa mountain range are only 25 kilometres. The highway has an access 6 kilometres away, with the vibrant historic towns of Oviedo, Avilés and Gijón about an hour, and airports of Avilés (Asturias) 100 kilometres away and Santander 140 kilometres.

The house has three full floors with the principal accommodation on the middle floor. The lower floor has a large entrance area and terrace room, all with stone walls. Connecting this to the main house floor with a feature stair would create a spectacular space and add enormously to the use of the house.

The attic is currently unused but is the full footprint of the house and would make a large storage space as it is, but could be converted into additional rooms or an independent apartment.

The stone barn by the main house and two other outbuildings could be converted into other houses or an hotel. There are also three buildable plots of a minimum of 1200 sqm each.
