Inside the villa…
There are two separate entrances into the property for convenience, the main entrance which enters into the main living space and a second entrance door from the covered carport gives access to the kitchen and utility room so that you can store your groceries easily.
If you enter the house via the main entrance there is a wardrobe facility and this opens into the living space. This area is light and bright with the most amazing views across the gardens to the sea.
This whole living area connects beautifully with the outside, there are two double opening doors giving access to the terraces and the garden and really make the views one of the main features of this living area.
The living area is open plan with a feature fireplace. There is plenty of space to dine and the room leads through to the kitchen
The kitchen is very well fitted with a number of storage units, granite work surfaces and all the usual built in appliances including an electric oven, electric hob, smart oven and fridge-freeze combi. Next to the kitchen is a utility room with top brand dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, extra fridge and a huge larder storage unit with 3 sliding doors.
On this main living level are 3 large bedrooms, each coming with its own en-suite bathroom and fitted wardrobes. One bedroom has its entrance outside and is not accessible through the house which could make this an ideal room for guests (paying or friends) or as a teenager’s bedroom.
The master bedroom comes with a parquet floor and benefits from a full bathroom with bath, shower, double sink, toilet and bidet. This bedroom also has opening doors to the terrace with views to sea and mountains.
The other 2 bedrooms have a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
The large lower living space (65M2) is also light and bright with 2 large tilt and turn sliding windows giving a terrific view to the garden and access to the lower terrace. The living space is currently used as a large open plan office space and gym but could be used for a variety of purposes. There is a large storage area, the 4 bathroom plus a further sink, a climat controlled wine cabinet and even an infra-red sauna cabin.
This space could be used to create more bedrooms, it could be used as an artist’s studio or it could become a separate apartment for rentals, extended family or friends.
As with the main level, there is access onto a large terrace which connects this area to the gardens.
Outside, gardens and pool…
When arriving at the property, there is an electrically operated entrance gate leading to the 28M2 carport – this easily accommodates a large car and there is a separate space for another.
There is also a covered storage area for fireplace wood.
The villa has a very well maintained garden around the house with automatic irrigation system, large terraces in sun or shade (flexible porch roof) with a lot of privacy.
Since the house is on top of the hill you can even enjoy the best of the sun during the winter months.
The swimming pool is large – 8M x 4m with a depth of 1.6m – it is a salt water system (better for your skin) and illuminated in multiple colours. Furthermore, there is a solar pool shower. For winter and summer season a (solar) cover is available for the pool.
Next to the swimming pool is a wooden sun terrace which gives access to a professional 5 persons Jacuzzi !
This stunning home has some of the best views available and the house itself does not disappoint – flexible accommodation, lovely outside spaces and privacy all help to create a comfortable home – be that for permanent living or as a holiday home. Information about Peñiscola and the surrounding area…
Peñíscola is a fortified seaport built on a rocky headland attached to the mainland and rest of the town by a narrow strip of land.
Peñiscola has beautiful beaches, of which the north beach is around 5 kilometres long. This calm beach is perfect for swimming and sunbathing and is fully serviced by lifeguards and leisure activities such as volleyball, sailing and canoeing as well as being wheelchair friendly. This pristine beach has won itself blue flag status and is backed by a palm tree lined promenade. The southern coastline is steep and rocky, dotted with tiny beaches and isolated coves.
The old city quarters are a visitors delight: Antique shops, artist studios and pottery stores line the streets. It is also a must to visit the castle which featured in the epic El Cid. At 5pm the fishing trawlers come back into port and auction off their catch; you can buy fish right out of the boat.
There are many bars and outdoor restaurants and prices are more than reasonable in this unspoiled area of Spain. Pubs and clubs are open all night for the revellers.
Peñiscola is a real treat for avid historians and with such a significant story behind the town, sun worshippers too will be tempted by the old towns charms; on the contrary with its beautiful beaches the history fanatics are sure to go home with good tans!
What else to do:
Worthwhile visiting are the charming towns Morella, San Mateo, Cervera the Maestrat. Furthermore: The Ebro Delta with its flamingos, and in the Natural Park Sierra Irta and the Maestrazgo Interior with its reservoir near La Senia you will find a lot of walking trails.
Panoramica Golf and Country Club, just 30 km inland, has a 18 holes golf course with ample practice facilities.
Tennis clubs, gravel courts, and sailing possibilities are available at Benicarló and Vinaros.
