The village of Gergal is situated just off the A92 motorway, (exit 362) with easy access to Guadix, Granada, Almeria and wonderful coast of Cabo de Gata.
The villages of Mojacar, Garrucha and Vera are to the East, and to the West are the towns of Roquetas de Mar, El Ejido and Aguadulce.
The airport of Almeria is 30 mins away, and Granada airport an hour and 15 mins.

The village has around 1000 inhabitants, mainly Spanish.
It has all the amenities, Doctors surgery, junior school, banks, chemist, butcher, baker bars and restaurants. It is only an 8 minute walk into the centre of the village.
There is a market every Saturday morning.

The village has a public swimming pool which is open in the summer holidays. There are colourful fiestas that are celebrated in August and January.

Most of the English owners use their houses for holidays, as the village offers good value for money with great accessibility to the tourist areas. Skiing in Granada is only an hour away! You can ski in the morning, and be walking on the beach in the afternoon!
