There are also exceptional places to eat and drink. Each Saturday, there is a popular market selling seasonal produce, the ingredients to recreate the fabulous dishes of the area.
There are many events that take place in the city and surrounding district including historic pageants, jousting and festivals to celebrate locally produced food and wine. There is plenty of opportunity to participate in outdoor activities and enjoy the diverse flora and fauna in the nearby National Parks. Some of the best skiing in Italy is less than an hour away.
