Zoopla.co.uk welcomes Doug Monro as it's new Chief Operating Officer

Zoopla.co.uk, the UK's fastest growing property website, is pleased to announce the appointment of Doug Monro as Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect.

Most recently, Doug has been Managing Director of Gumtree.com, the UK's largest classified ads site, responsible for building the team and business through a phenomenal period of growth following the acquisition by eBay in 2005.

Over the past three years, Doug has been a driving force in leading Gumtree to its current position as one of the top 20 websites in the UK. Previously, Doug was Head of Strategy and Analysis at eBay UK and has worked at Bain & Company and Unilever and also as an entrepreneur.

As Chief Operating Officer, Doug will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations at Zoopla.co.uk and helping to shape the future and growth of the business, which has already become the UK's leading property valuation website following its launch in January of this year.

Doug has a BA in English from Cambridge and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management where he was a Fulbright and Siebel scholar. He is also a CIMA-qualified accountant.
